Presentation - Fugitive - Wellington Maze
Posted by SACRED: 8th January 2006

The Presentation has been finished and is now available from our Downloads section. The presentation is a 3D rendered animation that primarily focuses around a game of Fugitive being played by several players in the Wellington Maze.

Originally, Project LF-3D was created in mind to provide a simple 3D version of the Wellington Maze for other players from around the world to see. Yet over time it became something more. Over time, 3D Models of the laserforce battlesuit and gun were created (in Studio Max format), along with several charcters. This has paved the way to allow for the creation of animated laserforce games such as the one that has been finished just recently.

It has been an enjoyable project as much as being an incredible learning experience for me over the past two and half years. I don't consider myself a professional 3D animator by any means, so I'm quite pleased with what I've accomplished.

I hope you enjoy this video, despite of it's short length of being just over two minutes. Thanks to all those who have supported me in this. A special thanks to the Kelly Brothers who have provided me with the sound effects from the laserforce system to be used within the presentation.

Demo #2 becomes Official Presentation 2005
Posted by SACRED: 10th May 2005

A slight change of plan due to restrictions in time (which isn't unusual in the world of 3D animation). The Demo which is currently in progress will now become the LF-3D Official Presentation 2005. This means that the release date for this will be early August after the Internationals this year. A teaser trailer will be released late June.

LF-3D Website Updated
Posted by SACRED: 7th May 2005

The Project LF-3D website has had an overhaul, as Flash has been replaced with HTML. This makes for a much easier means of updating information quickly and efficiently and it means less bandwidth usage for everyone. Images and downloads sections will be updated over the next few days, so watch this space!

Official Demo #2 Underway
Posted by SACRED: 3rd May 2005

It's been just over a year since the release of the first Demo of LF-3D, so it's a pleasure to announce that the second demo of an actual game of LF is now underway with a deadline of early June. I won't say which game it is, but it will feature five of the ten LF3D characters. Check out the still-shots!

Changes made to Emma, Taz and Dan Models
Posted by SACRED:
22nd April 2005

It was thought that the original Emma was a little too provocative for the general public, so the mini-skirt has been replaced with navy blue army pants. Taz and Dan have also had a skeletal overhaul, which no one would probably notice, except for their height (they've shrunk by around 10cm).
