WHAT IS PROJECT LF-3D?
    Project LF-3D exists to produce animated simulations of laserforce using 3D models based on actual laserforce sites from around the world.

    WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF LF-3D?

There are three main reasons;

To provide entertainment for laserforce fans

To present 3D rendered mazes for other players from around the world to view

To help promote laserforce using 3D animation through the use of Internet and other media / advertising sources

    HOW ARE THE MAZES CONSTRUCTED?
    The process of constructing a maze in 3D can be put down to three main steps:

1. Drawing up a 2D-blueprint of the maze to the nearest cm

2. Taking snap-shots of all walls and other visual feaures using a digital camera

3. Creating the 3D model within an application such as Studio Max or Maya, and using the snapshots, apply them to the walls, floor and ceilings.

Once the 3D model has been constructed, a virtual camera may be placed and animation can be rendered quite easily.

    WHAT FORMAT WILL THE ANIMATIONS BE?
    At this stage all of the animations are an AVI DivX format. It's a nice compression codec and is well supported. Please click here for more information regarding DivX.
